Transmission & Drivetrain Inspection
Transmission problems are among the most expensive. We inspect the transmission, drivetrain, differential, steering parts and 4WD system (if present) to catch costly issues before you buy.
Transmission
We check gear engagement, visible leaks, signs the transmission has been opened before, plus rust, transmission mounts and the transmission cooler.
- Gear engagement and shift smoothness.
- Transmission fluid leaks, condition and color.
- Signs the transmission has been opened or repaired.
- Rust on the transmission.
- Transmission mounts and stability.
- Transmission cooler condition.
Drivetrain
We inspect the drivetrain parts that transfer power from engine to wheels — driveshaft, differentials, axles, and the steering box with tie-rod boots.
- Driveshaft and its boots.
- Front and rear differentials.
- Differential fluid leaks.
- Signs of prior differential work.
- Axles / half-shafts.
- Steering rack and tie-rod boots.
4WD System (if equipped)
On 4WD vehicles, we check the transfer case and related components for leaks, prior repairs, or visible faults.
- Transfer case and its operation.
- Signs the transfer case has been opened.
- Transfer case fluid leaks.
We document any vibration or response delay that may point to internal issues, with on-site photos.
